All round report card
Well it has been awhile since I wrote. That I apologize for. The last few months have been busy with returning home, getting back to training, US Champs, quick trip to Florida, and then Regional Qualifier. It has been a whirlwind. Here is my report card:
Training block post fall world cups: B (good training and some nice changes to the technique. Had to battle some injuries and illness along the way.)
US Champs: B (reached a new level in the 5k and a pr in the 10k. Fairly happy to get bronze in the Allround program. Did not reach my goal of being US champ in the 5k or 10k but settled for bronze and silver respectfully.)
Trip home:A (so nice to go home and get some sun and see my family who I don’t see enough)
Regionals: B (a very good 5k and 10k could not get help me enough when compared to two average races in the 500 & 1500. If I ever want to be an all rounder those need to improve drastically.)
While I would have loved to make World Allrounds in Hamar, I did not. The sprints are just too substandard for me to compete with the Kucks and Makowskys of our region. Now the focus is training and getting ready for the World Cups in Germany in February and March. All the focus will be on the distance races for the rest of the season.
In the next few weeks, I have a big volume block and hopefully some more gains with technique. Thanks to all my sponsors and supporters!!!!
